Why Ballerina shoes?

Everyone’s talking about it. Everyone’s buying new pairs of these shoes for themselves and their
lovely daughters. Is everybody really joining ballet classes of some sort? That seems quite
unlikely, but then why is everybody talking about ballet shoes and ballerina flats. It doesn’t
make sense till you really buy a pair for yourself and walk for an entire day. At the end of the
day, the level of your energies will speak volumes about these shoes.

Yes, you are indeed right. These shoes are meant for ballet dancers. Ballet shoes are tight fitting,
flexible, flats which are extremely comfortable. Ballet dancers wear these while doing tough
balances on their feet and yet show their beautiful moves. The history of these shoes dates back
to 15th and 16th century. Even then the simplistic yet practical design of these shoes was very
similar to that of today. At that time in Italy, these were called “balletos”. By 17th century,
ballerina shoes were getting manufactured silk with gold buckles on the top for decoration. Later
in 19th century, these shoes were also created in canvas for much more comfort to the dancer.
Pointe shoe was another name of these because only by wearing these, the dancers could stand
on the tip of their toes and enchant the crowd.

Since then these shoes have undergone all possible changes in terms of comfort and look. The
shoes that are used for dancing are usually pink, grey, black or white in color. With beautiful
satin ribbons enhancing the legs of the dancers, make the entire look of the costume extremely
elegant. Ill fitted shoes can potentially damage the feet of the dancers, while well fitted ones can
help her achieve her goal and perform much better on the stage. Only when the dancer is
confident, can she express herself completely through the form of the dance.

Talking about commercial use of these shoes, these are easily available in on all the big shoe
stores and almost every shoe store in the town. In beautiful colors and designs, these can make
you look elegant and comfortable. When a woman has to stay out of the house almost 12 hours
in a day and yet take domestic responsibilities as well, it becomes extremely important for her to
give special care to her feet. When feet get tired and are unable to carry body weight, usually
results in dizziness. Hence, keeping the feet warm and comfortable should be one of the highest
priorities for every woman.

It has been scientifically proven that wearing high heels causes huge damage to the feet which
are usually long-term. Wearing high heels regularly increases the risk of having knee
osteoarthritis in older age or even immediately. So, ballerina flats, which are stylish in nature
can solve the problem of wearing high heels.

Easy to wear, elegant to look at and comfortable in nature – what else would you want from a
pair of shoes.
