FACULTY POSITIONS in ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN, INTEGRATED DESIGN AND URBAN DESIGN The School of Architecture and Planning at the University at Buffalo is significantly expanding its faculty, programs and facilities and we invite candidates interested in experimental research and pedagogy to apply. Integrated Design in Architecture with a focus on Energy The School encourages applications from architects and researchers focusing on sustainable design through design research, scholarship, and practice. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellence in synthesizing exceptional design with a response to pressing contemporary issues of energy and environment. A track record of interdisciplinary collaboration is preferred. This position is partially funded by the University’s newly formed Renew Institute (Research and Education in eNergy, Environment and Water), an interdisciplinary research entity created to address urgent global problems. There will be opportunities available to participate in the development of this Institute through this position. Design based research forms the core of the department’s graduate pedagogy and faculty work, and the successful candidate(s) will be expected to take a leadership role in their area of expertise.
