    • Know your audience, objective andmessage
    • Practice, practice, practice
    • Be prepared for mishaps
    • 2. Embrace your uniqueness andimperfections
    • Focus on connection and givingvalue
    • Imagine your success usingvisualization and positive self-talk
    • Check your posture, body languageand eye contact
    • 3. Never apologize
    • So what if you’re inexperienced?Everyone starts somewhere.
    • So what if you’re nervous? Everyonegets nervous.
    • So what if you make a mistake?Everyone makes mistakes.
    • Here are three challenges to buildyour confidence muscles
    • 1. Make eye contact
    • Hint: Smile
    • If that’s easy, make eye contact andmake a comment Your dog is cute.
    • If that’s easy, make a comment orask a question Your dog is cute. What’s her name?
    • 2. Be present
    • In class, give the teacher your fullattention
    • When youre in a conversation, listenand hear what the other is saying
    • Listen and hear what youre saying Hello? Hello? Is anybody listening?
    • 3. Speak up
    • Remember your courage
