  • 9. Practice, practice, practice
  • 10. Be prepared for mishaps
  • 11. 2. Embrace your uniqueness andimperfections
  • 12. Focus on connection and givingvalue
  • 13. Imagine your success usingvisualization and positive self-talk
  • 14. Check your posture, body languageand eye contact
  • 15. 3. Never apologize
  • 16. So what if you’re inexperienced?Everyone starts somewhere.
  • 17. So what if you’re nervous? Everyonegets nervous.
  • 18. So what if you make a mistake?Everyone makes mistakes.
  • 19. Here are three challenges to buildyour confidence muscles
  • 20. 1. Make eye contact
  • 21. Hint: Smile
  • 22. If that’s easy, make eye contact andmake a comment Your dog is cute.
  • 23. If that’s easy, make a comment orask a question Your dog is cute. What’s her name?
  • 24. 2. Be present
  • 25. In class, give the teacher your fullattention
  • 26. When youre in a conversation, listenand hear what the other is saying
  • 27. Listen and hear what youre saying Hello? Hello? Is anybody listening?
  • 28. 3. Speak up
  • 29. Remember your courage
