    • TEE Time Crestwood Middle School 2011-12
    • What is TEE time?
      • TEE time stands for T utoring, E nrichment, and E xtension.
      • The purpose of TEE time is to provide a neutral time of the school day for students to be tutored or extended in a curricular area, or enriched in a topic of interest.
      • During TEE time, all students will automatically receive extensions once a week in the areas of math and reading.
    • How does TEE time work?
      • Mondays are Advisory days. Students will meet with their TEE teacher during TEE time for an advisory lesson.
      • Students will report to their TEE teacher Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays for one of the following topics.
    • Once a week you will participate in:
      • Math – all students will participate in a math lesson once a week during TEE time
      • Reading – all students will participate in a reading lesson once a week during TEE time
      • Enrichment – all student will participate in an enrichment activity with their TEE teacher once a week
      • Tutoring/Enrichment – all students will be either tutored in a curricular area OR participate in an enrichment activity with a specials teacher once a week during TEE time
    • The Schedule
      • TEE Time will occur for 45 minutes daily.
      • The time block is 12:52-1:37, after mod 3.
      • The weekly schedule is as follows:
      Enrich (with TEE teacher) or Tutor (with specials teacher) Tutor (with content teacher) or Enrichment (with specials teacher) Reading (with TEE teacher) Math (with TEE teacher) Advisory (with TEE teacher) 8 Enrich (with TEE teacher) or Tutor (with specials teacher) Reading (with TEE teacher) Tutor (with content teacher) or Enrichment (with specials teacher) Math (with TEE teacher) Advisory (with TEE teacher) 7 Enrich (with TEE teacher) or Tutor (with specials teacher) Reading (with TEE teacher) Math (with TEE teacher) Tutor (with content teacher) or Enrichment (with specials teacher) Advisory (with TEE teacher) 6 Friday Thursday Wednesday Tuesday Monday Grade Level
    • Tutoring Guidelines
      • All students on the tutor list MUST report to the requesting teacher. Remember:
        • 6 th grade tutoring occurs on Tuesdays
        • 7 th grade tutoring occurs on Wednesdays
        • 8 th grade tutoring occurs on Thursdays
      • Students will stay with the tutoring teacher the entire 45 minutes and may not leave if they finish early.
      • Students may ask a teacher for tutoring if they feel they need assistance.
      • Purposes for tutoring include
        • Re-teaching of content
        • Making up missing assignments/tests/quizzes/projects
        • Other reasons as determined by the requesting teacher
    • Enrichment with Specials Teachers
      • Students will participate in an enrichment activity hosted by a specials teacher ONCE a week.
        • 6th on Tuesdays
        • 7th on Wednesdays
        • 8th on Thursdays
      • Students will miss this enrichment opportunity if they are being tutored by a content teacher.
      • Students will participate in THREE different enrichment opportunities this year: one in fall , one in winter , and one in spring .
    • Student Sign-Up Plan
      • Students will access an electronic survey online to make enrichment choices.
      • Sign-ups will occur on TUESDAY, AUGUST 30 th in language arts classes.
      • Administration will try to give each student one of their three choices, but no guarantees can be made.
    • Enrichment with TEE Teachers
      • On Fridays, students will be participating in either an enrichment activity with their TEE teacher OR will be tutored by a specials teacher.
      • TEE teachers will determine the type of enrichment activities they will offer their students every Friday.

      • Book Trailers
      • Cavalier Club
      • Classic Movie Club
      • Computer Animations
      • Computer Software
      • DEAR & Creative Writing
      • Fitness & Cup Stacking
      • Team Sports
      • Power Walking
    • Book Trailers
      • Love to read? Love technology? This is for you!
      • Read a book and then create a Book Trailer (includes photos and music) to promote it to other students.
      • The trailers will be shared with CMS students throughout the year to promote reading.
    • Cavalier Club
      • Help to create the advertisements for our new spirit days.
      • Give insight on how to improve future student activities as well as ways to use those Cavaliers. 
    • Classic Movie Club
      • Watch some classic movies like Gone With The Wind.
      • Discuss the unique aspects of the movies and compare them to modern day films.
    • Computer Animations
      • Do you like computer-generated animations like Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and Toy Story?
      • This TEE activity will have you watching animations like these, discussing them, and drawing thumbnails of your own animations.
    • Computer Software
      • Like technology?
      • Learn new software like:
        • Microsoft Excel
        • Microsoft Word
        • SketchUp
        • Audacity
        • And many more…..
    • DEAR & Creative Writing
      • Love to read? Bring your own book and have at it for 45 uninterrupted minutes.
      • Love to write? Use the time to express yourself creatively.
    • Fitness Club
      • Get your heart rate up!
      • Use the weight room, cardio room, and the beautiful outdoors to get in shape!
      • Practice the art of cup stacking in between workouts.
    • Team Sports
      • Participate in the gym and outdoors.
      • Try being part of a team and get some exercise at the same time.
      • Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for exercise.
    • Power Walking
      • Enjoy the fall weather power walking around our building.
      • Bring an iPod and listen to your favorite tunes.
      • Wear appropriate clothing and shoes for this activity.
    • Finally!
      • All students will sign up using an electronic survey during LA classes on Tuesday, August 30 th .
      • Remember, you will choose 3 enrichment activities. They are not in order of preference – just 3 choices. You will likely be granted one of those 3 choices.
      • Do NOT sign up for the same 3 choices or a different choice will be made for you.
      • TEE time will start on Tuesday, September 6 th .
