  • 1. Getting Started With QUIA A basic primmer. Registering, editing profiles, and setting up classes.
  • 2. Registering For Quia
    • Go to www.quia.com/web
    • Click on Create a new account
  • 3. Fill In All the Fields and Create Your Instructor Account
  • 4. Registering Your Account
    • CMS - IMPACT pays for your account
    • Type in the activation code in the yellow section- the box on the top right.
    • See Mr. Squires for this code.
  • 5. Log In to Your Account
  • 6. Beginning Options
    • Work with “My Profile”
    • Work with “My Classes”
    • Create
    • Help Me Please !!!!!
  • 7. Quia Tutorial
  • 8. Classes & Class Pages Create new classes
  • 9. Creating a Class Page
    • Click on creating a class page
    • Name the class
    • You can choose an end date later or leave open,
    • Leave as instructor enroll (see me if you want further explanation)
  • 10. Class Details to be completed We will begin with the top portion.
  • 11. Automatically filled in from your profile. Can change class name or end date here. Name according to the things you call your classes: Block 1, Period 3, Blue class, etc.
  • 12. No changes here in this section.
  • 13. No changes here in this section for now.
  • 14. Bottom three of the four checked, CLICK Save changes and edit roster. (Copy to other classes section will be done later.)
  • 15.
    • Last Name and First Name are required.
    • Student ID and E-mail is optional
    • It will automatically generate a password.
      • You can have the students change their passwords
      • The list of usernames and passwords can be emailed to you
    Creating a Roster: Entering Students
  • 16. Creating a Roster: Importing Students
    • Last Name, First Name are required, but it is suggested that you add the NCWISE # for the Student ID and as the password. Directions for this are found online.
    • E-mail is optional- gaggle.net accounts (This allows students to retrieve their own passwords, and for you to EASILY communicate with them about quia work outside of class!)
