  7. 7. ROUGH• Rough is grass that is kept at a much longer length than the fairway. The rough runs on both the left and right side of the fairway.• The reason it is named the rough is because you will have a rough time on the hole if you hit it in the rough.
  8. 8. GREEN• The green is the shortest grass on the golf course.• The hole is located on the green.• The reason the grass is the shortest on the green is because you use a club that helps you roll the ball along the ground and into the hole.

GOLF SCORING• In the game of golf the objective is to get the ball in the hole in the least amount of strokes as possible.• There are three types of golf holes – Par 3’s – Par 4’s – Par 5’s *In order to make a par on a hole you would get your ball in the hole on a par 3 in 3 strokes, a par 4 in 4 strokes, and a par 5 in 5 strokes.
