  • 2. Avila  Avila is located around the Rio Duero.  It consists of many fertile valleys.  One major piece of vegetation that grows there are the pine trees.
  • 3. Avila sW lls ’ a  Around the region of Avila, there are giant walls surrounding it, forming a rectangle.  There are 9 doors around the city.  The height is about 12 meters.  Construction for such walls took around 9 years to complete.

  • 6. Sa Te s nta re a  Avila constructed a convent of Santa Teresa in 1636.  There is a party for her from October 8th to 15th.  There are parades, masquerade figures, and dancing throughout the city.  The convent was constructed in 1636.
  • 7. TheFo d o  It is a type of medevial food, but is very elegant and delicious.  The truchas, a type of fish, are very scrumptious as well.  There are also many famous deserts.
