20 TEIDE REFRACTORY SOLUTIONS 2011 6. PRE-ASSEMBLING OF KILN CAR AT TEIDE’s- Before any delivery, we carry out a test assembling of the shapedgoods. For this purpose we have a reserved area in our factory.- This pre-assembling is a real-case verification of the project drawings.- The pre-assembling also allows to detect any deviations from the ideal case, and enables measures to be taken to offset the detected anomalies.

ASSEMBLING OF KILN CAR LINING AT CLIENT’S FACILITIESTypical TEIDE kiln car for a red brick tunnel kiln: * Levelling with a refractory castable: - To set a levelled base for the lining. - Seal the lining against passage of combustion gases. - Allows small adjustments of the height of the lining, e.g. in order to compensate chassis deviations from the nominal height.
