    • 1 . POSITIVE THINKING
        • Attitude is the first quality that marks the successful man. If he has a positive attitude and is a positive thinker, who likes challenges and difficult situations, then he has half his success achieved.
        • - Lowell Peacock
        • There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. The little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative .
  • 6. 1. Positive Thinking
    • 1.1 Your ATTITUDE determines your ALTITUDE.
    • The difference between those who are successful and those who are unsuccessful in life is this: The lives of those who are successful are governed and controlled by the thoughts of their best hour, their greatest optimism, and their most triumphant experience. Unsuccessful people, on the other hand, are guided and controlled by their past failures and doubt.
  • 7. 1. Positive Thinking
    • 1.2 The Negative Effects of a Negative Attitude:
        • Negative Thinking creates clouds at Critical Decision Times.
        • Negative Thinking is Contagious
        • Negative Thinking Blows Everything out of Perspective
        • Negative Thinking Decrease Hope
        • Negative Thinking Keeps Us From Enjoying Life
  • 8. 1. Positive Thinking
    • 1.3 The Power of Positive Thinking
        • Act , Walk, Talk, and Think Like the Person You Wish to Become- Attitude follows action.
        • Hold Successful, Positive Thoughts in Your Mind.- Give your thoughts to what’s positive and successful. Don’t feed the weeds.
        • Radiate the Attitude of Well-Being, Confidence, and Purpose
        • Treat Everyone You Meet as The Most Important Person On Earth
        • Make Every Person You Meet Feel Needed, Important, and Appreciated- The Attitude you bring with you is the Attitude you get from others.
  • 9. 1. Positive Thinking
    • 1.3 The Power of Positive Thinking
        • Look for the Best in Every One
        • Don’t Talk about Your Health Unless It is Good
        • Look Everywhere For The Best In New Ideas
        • Avoid Pettiness
        • Develop A Spirit Of Giving
  • 10. 1. Positive Thinking
    • 1.4 The Fruit of Positive Thinking- Positive Living
        • Self Confidence
        • Initiative
        • Persistence- Quitting is a permanent solution to a temporary problem
        • Creativity
        • Leadership
        • Growth
        • The Ability to Produce Results- “Nothing on earth can stop a man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude” The bottom line is that when you are a positive thinker, you are able to produce results.
  • 11. The Successful Person Knows How to …
    • 2. OVERCOME FAILURE
        • Failure isn’t failure unless you don’t learn from it.
            • - Dr. Ronald Niednagel
        • Ninety percent of all those who fail are not actually defeated ….. They simply quit.
            • - Paul J. Meyer
  • 12. 2. Overcome Failure
    • One of the most critical factors determining a person’s success is how he or she deals with failure. Anyone who desires to be successful must develop strategies to overcome it and keep going forward. If he doesn’t , failure will certainly lead to discouragement, and discouragement to defeat.
  • 13. 2. Overcome Failure
    • 2.1 Fear of Failure
        • Failure- even the sound of the word is negative. What other word-except “death”- instills such fear in people? When you hear someone say that a person is a failure, it can conjure up quite a mental image: someone living in poverty– maybe friendless– devoid of money, success, a positive future, or even hope.
  • 14. 2. Overcome Failure
    • 2.1.1 Reasons why people fear Failure:
        • Fear of CRITICISM- Most of the great achievers in history were people who were bitterly criticized but who persevered.
        • Fear of Taking a RISK- Go out on a limb- after all, that’s where the fruit is.
        • Fear of Losing SELF-CONFIDENCE
        • Fear of Never Getting a SECOND CHANCE- Forget spending time and energy trying to avoid failure, and instead focus on dealing with it in a successful way.
  • 15. 2. Overcome Failure
    • 2.2 Formula For Overcoming Failure:
        • Recognize Failure For What it is. Failure is not final– unless you make it final. How you see failure is entirely a function of your attitude.
        • Review Your Failure in Order to Learn- View Failure as an opportunity to Learn
        • Recognize Your Weaknesses
        • Readjust Your Efforts- You cannot overcome failure by repeating the same flawed process over and over. Yet that is what some people do. They repeat the same mistake, yet they expect different results .
        • Reenter the Game- If You don’t get back into the game, You will never have the Opportunity to Succeed .
  • 16. The Successful Person Possesses..
    • 3. VISION
        • Poor eyes limit your sight; poor vision limits your deeds.
            • - Franklin Field
        • A blind man’s world is bounded by the limits of his touch; an ignorant man’s world by the limits of his knowledge; a great man’s world by the limits of his vision.
            • - E. Paul Hovey
  • 17. 3. Vision
    • The Value of A VISION
    • The people who have most powerfully and permanently influenced their generation have been “seers” – men and women who see more farther than others. In other words, people who make things happen are people who have vision
  • 18. 3. Vision
    • Values of VISION :
        • VISION Makes Work Fund
        • VISION ADDS VALUE TO OUR WORK
        • VISION PREDICTS YOUR FUTURE
    • OBSTRUCTIONS TO VISION:
        • Our Past Can Limit Our Vision- Be prepared to dream big and then test your limits. Don’t put a lid on your potential.
        • Current Pressures Can Limit Our Vision
        • Problems Can Limit Your Vision-Dare to dream-in spite of problems, circumstances, and handicaps
        • Lack of Perspective Can Limit Our Vision
        • Our Present Position Can Limit Our Vision- Dream big. Success is never achieved by men and women of caution.
  • 19. 3. Vision
    • Realizing Your Vision- A visionary who cannot make his vision a reality is only a dreamer. Strategy for Realizing your Vision :
        • Define Your Vision- If you wish to become successful, you must define the vision you have for your life
        • Examine your life at the moment
        • Exchange All the Little Options for the ONE BIG VISION- All dreams have a price.
        • Tailor Your Personal Growth to your vision-Positive changes in a person’s life always require personal growth
        • Expose yourself to Successful people
        • Continually express your belief in your vision
        • Expect Opposition to your vision- People who have no dream of their own won’t be able to see yours.
        • Exclude Negative Thinkers as Close Friends
        • Explore Every Possible Avenue to Fulfill your vision
        • Exceed Normal Expectations-No one achieves his dreams with average energy and effort
        • Help others who have a similar vision

        • The successful person is the one who knows how to get what he ought to want.
  • 22. 4. Goals
    • Importance of GOALS SETTING: A person who doesn’t plan ahead will never get ahead. When you want to create a road map to achievement, set goals.

        • GOALS ADD VALUE TO WORK

    • 5 . TIME MANAGEMENT
        • It has been my observation that most people get ahead during the time that others waste.
            • - Henry Ford
        • Most time is wasted, not in hours, but in minutes. A bucket with a small hole in the bottom gets just as empty as a bucket that is deliberately emptied.
            • - Paul J. Meyer
  • 24. 5. Time Management
    • The Clock is Ticking- Whether you know it or not, you face that situation every day of your life. The “bank” is time, and you receive 86,400 seconds each day which you can spend any way you like. And if you fail to use those seconds, they are gone forever. – Successful people realize the value of time. The only difference between two individuals is not how much time they have but how that time is used. If you value your time, you must plan your time.
  • 25. 5. Time Management
    • Thieves That Steal Time. One of the most important strategies for using your time wisely is to drastically reduce the time you waste.
