BECAUSE FACEBOOKERS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN

What do I do?
I’m having fun. Everytime.
Other people will tell you:
I’m connecting with old friends (yeah, but just to bring back fun memories, to )
I’m publishing my vacation pictures (show off and have fun)
I’m promoting my blog (you think you are, but people are just having fun with it)
I’m setting up groups for people (you may think they’ll have proffesional interest but they’ll just enter to have fun)

Why are we here?
Let’s have more fun.
How do we do that?
Scrap the bad things and improve the good ones.
Bad things: aggressive advertising of anything (even your blog!), anomalies (there’s a page for that! http://bit.ly/anomaliile )
Good things: REAL sharing, REAL talking, REAL playing

Ways to make it more fun

The Death of the “voting Like”
Remember the old-as-the-internet “please click on my link to vote for my …”?
It’s back. Stronger.
Now it’s “Please <<like>> my post/photo to vote for my …”
Let “like” be “like!”
… or suffer the consequences

Inviting everyone everywhere
Usual event figures:
Attending : small number
Might Attend : slightly bigger number
Not Attending : a few more times than attending
Awaiting Reply : A few times more than not attending.
And almost always the same...
FOCUS ON ATTENDING, not on all others…

Bring the REAL back!
You can make facebook more fun if you:
Share interesting things more than things your friends asked you to share
“ Like” more interesting stuff than stuff your ‘friends’ asked you to share
Comment on what interests you more than in contests
Create online events or focus on actually attending people in the offline events

One more thing…
Nobody can tell you that you’re using it WRONG. You never do.
BUT there are ways to make it more FUN, FUN, FUN! 

And never forget: there actually is life beyond status updates.
