  • Today we are going to show you some of the areas and functions of the Clayton State library physical spaces and virtual spaces that provide help to you.
  • If your professor places items on reserve for a class, you will pick them up at the circ. Desk (overnight, 2 hour library use, or sometimes 7 day ) Non book items have call numbers that you give to the circ desk attendant to pull for you.
  • Our 4 areas of items that you can check out for 28 days and 1 renewal if someone has not requested.
  • Periodicals – a fancy word for magazines, journals, newspapers (comes out daily, weekly, monthly, PERIODICALLY )
  • Items to be used ONLY in the LIBRARY. You can make copies of important pages in our copier room.
  • Fayette County has a campus. Did you know this? You can request items to be sent to that campus from the main campus. In addition, our other services such as Gil Express, ILL, book chapter and article delivery are also available.
  • Where can you return materials to the library?
  • Getting assistance: in person at the reference desk, email, chatting, calling, requesting an appointment
  • A library account PIN is important so that you can see what books you have checked out, renew books that are NOT overdue, check for any library fines, and get the GALILEO password as an alternative method to get off campus access.

  • LibGuides are resource tools to help you get organized in approaching topics, research, or special events!You may find a LibGuide about your major, general interest topics, or specialized areas such as searching for health statistics!
  • Here are some examples of ways to search! Don’t forget to use the TAGS search!
  • You can make a suggestion of a topic that would help you in your research!
