1. In Loving Memory of our
Mom, Lucy Ramos
March 10, 1929-February 25, 2002
Remembered & Loved
In 2001, Mom finally move to SA with us but was already very ill.
When she wasn’t in the hospital for treatments; she lived at my home
in Mahncke Park. Mom lost her battle with complications from
Cancer in 2002. Our neighborhood project (2006) to tile a sustaining
wall near the Botanical Gardens includes Mom’s Photo Painted onto a
ceramic tile. The wall is located along New Braunfels & Funston
Street, San Antonio, TX.

17. One of many notes and cards from Mom. We all have some from or to her. It’s just good to
see her handwriting. She knew and acknowledged all of our birthdays and holidays. I think
of the effort and time it took her to buy the cards, address them, write notes to us then mail
it. She walked or took the bus everywhere in town, since she had no transportation.
Ditto
mom!
