  • 6. Use Screen Shade Tool to hide and reveal text Part of an author's writing can be revealed and pupils invited to come up with suggestions for continuing the writing. After pupil suggestions are discussed the screen shade can be moved to reveal what the author wrote. Take an existing poem, change the poem topic, retain the style (keep the Back to WALT same number of lines, syllables and rhyming pattern) and substitute alternative words related to that topic for every word in the existing poem. Online Dictionary and Wordlist creator Free online dictionary to use with any  webpage ﴾or document on your  computer﴿.  Just enter a website ﴾or  document﴿ into the Lingro website to  make all words on the webpage clickable.  This then reveals a definition, and a  translation if required into one of several  languages.  There is also an audio link to   http://lingro.com/  Back to WALT hear the word spoken.  And you can add  the words to a wordlist and create games  with them to help learn them.   Falkirk Council Education Services 13
