Mischeivous Maeve was produced as a
limited edition vinyl collectible toy and was
released at The Comic-Con International
2007.
Maeve began as some sketches and turns,
was made into a protoype which Candace
then painted by hand, as well as creating
all graphics for the packaging as well.

“Princess La La & The Little Bee,” is written and
illustrated by Candace (CJ) Metzger and
published by Baby Tattoo Books in 2007
as part of a two book set, the other by
Miss Mindy (CJ’s sister).
Candace designed the layout in InDesign, and
Photoshop for the book and unique carrying
case (below).

About Candace (CJ):
Candace J Metzger is a third generation artist and has worked as an illustrator, graphic designer, writer, and character
designer/developer for ten years. She has created works for Neiman Marcus, Hot Topic, Fred Eric, Hard Rock Café,
Baby Tattoo Books, Mindstyle/Kaching Brands, and the Los Angeles Times.
Candace comfortabley moves between a number of artistic skills, is very organized, energetic, and fun to work with.
She has profound knowledge of art history, is fluent in The Adobe Creative Suite, and can paint, sketch, draw, collage,
and more.
After being a stay at home mom and working as a freelance illustrator, artist and designer, CJ’s is now seeking to
re-enter the full time workforce. Candace is full of imagery and ideas, knows how to get things done, and is excited to
share her experience and vision with the world. She is fun, reliable, and would be a valuable and dedicated addition to
any companies creative team.
