This preliminary estimate represents a 10 percent decline from the 2011-12 revised estimate of $238 million. This decline is attributed to operating and organizational changes. Various other seed crops account for the remaining 6 percent. Outshipments of seed are projected to total 22.6 million pounds during the 2012-13 season, up 122 percent from the revised 10.2 million pounds shipped during the previous season.
