10. Pre-Chase Strategies
Stretch it out!
In City Chase every second counts. The last thing you want is to be slowed down
by a leg catch or muscle cramp. Be sure to join the GoodLife Fitness Warm-Up
Team and loosen up those muscles!
Listen Up!
At the beginning of the race you’ll hear a ‘pep talk’ from City Chase founder, Nick
Jelinek. He loves to drop clues that could help you throughout the race so be sure
to listen up and pay attention!

12. Chase Strategies
Be SMART, use your PHONE!
One of your greatest advantages is using a smartphone. Get familiar with the
map application you use, and also have the friends that will be helping you
from home on speed dial. A hand-free earpiece could come in handy, just be
careful because there’s no guarantee you won’t get wet!
Push your comfort zone!
The best way to lose the race is to chicken out at a ChasePoint. Running to
another one takes up time and can be the difference between top spot and
top 100. Embrace the challenges you’re faced with and try things you never
thought you could do!

13. Chase Strategies
Motivate, Motivate, Motivate!
City Chase is designed to test you mentally and physically, so it’s important to
keep your energy high. That’s the beauty of teams of 2, since you can
motivate each other! Remember you’re only as fast as your weakest link.
THINK HARD. PLAY HARD. LAUGH HARD.

14. Words of Wisdom
The race is won in your first decision.
Risk it all every time.
Don't hesitate.
But read your clue sheet carefully.
Don't wait for transit.
Run like hell.
Be nice to the volunteers and other competitors.
Hug the organizers
Make sure it is fun.
Never, ever give up.
