  2. 2. Today’s session: <ul><li>Introduction to waste (especially food waste) from me </li></ul><ul><li>Short lecture from Andrea Collin </li></ul><ul><li>Focus groups, incorporating a short reading </li></ul>
  3. 3. Waste: <ul><li>Local and distant consequences, in time and space </li></ul><ul><li>Connects individual to the public to the commercial </li></ul><ul><li>It features in various ‘impact calculators’, like the Carbon Gym and ‘Ecological Footprint’ </li></ul>
  4. 4. But how is a sustainable approach to waste structured into our lives and identities? <ul><li>Not dropping litter and sorting our waste at home are increasingly social norms, supported by ‘green architecture’ </li></ul><ul><li>But is this true of all wastes e.g. food? </li></ul><ul><li>And what about when we’re not ‘residents’, acting ‘at home’? What about our waste behaviour in other spheres of our lives? </li></ul>
