  4. 4. Standard 1.4 Writing  Activity 1: Assessing Current Practice  How do you currently teach writing?  What criteria do you use to evaluate student performance in writing?  Look at structure of the writing standards

What can you do to throughout the school year to promote growth in preparation for increased rigor? • How would you evaluate progress? • Choose one activity. How could you differentiate the assignment to meet needs of diverse learners (ELL, Gifted, IEP).
