The AEF honors Gustavo Cisneros and the Fundación Cisneros for their educational endeavors in Latin America  The Advertising Educational Foundation (AEF) recognized Gustavo Cisneros with the “Lifetime Achievement Award” for his initiatives to improve education in Latin America.  Through the Fundación Cisneros, the Cisneros Group of Companies has promoted education in Latin America for more than three decades.New York, NY (May 16, 2012) - Gustavo Cisneros, Chairman of the Cisneros Group ofCompanies, was honored Tuesday night by the Advertising Educational Foundation (AEF)with the “Lifetime Achievement Award” for his contributions to the improvement of educationin Latin America.Each year during their Honor Night Gala, the AEF recognizes the work of businessmen,advertisers, agencies, media and students for their achievements in the entertainmentindustry, and bestows a special award to a person whose work has made a difference intheir communities.Upon receiving the award, Gustavo Cisneros highlighted the role of education as the firststep towards breaking the poverty cycle and helping people become more competitive in ademanding society.For more than 30 years, the Cisneros Group of Companies, through the Fundación Cisnerosand under the premise of “education is the best catalyst for development andcompetitiveness in Latin America,” has strived to improve education in the region andpromote Latin America´s contributions to world culture.“At the Cisneros Group of Companies, we have implemented impact investment by boostingquality in education through our programs.
