  3. 3. What is a blog? <ul><li>According to WordNet Search 3.0, a blog is a shared on-line journal where people can post diary entries about their personal experiences and hobbies. </li></ul><ul><li>“ Blog” is a short version of “Web-Log.” </li></ul>
  4. 4. Blog Terminology <ul><li>Blog-An online dated diary listing your periodic thoughts on a specific topic, often in reverse chronological order. </li></ul><ul><li>Blogger-A person who blogs. </li></ul><ul><li>Blogosphere-The Internet blogging community. </li></ul>

Blog Components & Functions <ul><li>Header -The topmost part of the blog usually listing the blog title. </li></ul><ul><li>Footer -The most bottom part of the blog usually listing copyright info. </li></ul><ul><li>Sidebar -One or more columns along one or both sides of most blogs. </li></ul><ul><li>Post/Entry -Individual articles that make up a blog. </li></ul>
