Autism, iPad and integrated accessibility

The iPad was declared groundbreaking in so many areas, but for me the real innovation was subtle. The iPad and iOS are natively accessible, in a physical format which is portable, powerful and appealing. This talk will explore how the iPad influences the life of someone with autism, with a view to the future and how an accessible platform will shape and empower the lives of people no matter their ability.

Bio

Jamie Knight is a slightly autistic web designer & developer based in Somerset. Jamie owns and runs + Lion, his web accessibility startup, named after his constant plushie companion Lion. Jamie has worked with a wide range of organisations such as Channel 4 and Dogs Trust. He has also spoken about autism for Birmingham university, National Autism Society and the British Institute of Learning Disabilities. When not working, Jamie enjoys mountain biking
