    1. 1. Evaluation Our response after using the new media technologyC amera, G a rage b a n d , iTunes, iMov ie , Li ve ty pe ,P h o to sh op, You tube , Blo gger & S ou n dc lo ud .
    2. 2. Panasonic HDC- SD60At first we found using this camera slightlyconfusing as we were not sure about its functionand how to work it to gain the best quality forour film. However, after practicing we learnt thatthis camera had great quality for the shots whichworked well as the majority of our trailer wasshot in dark lighting.A problem we encountered using this camerawas the white balance. We filmed our inkopening titles however because of naturalsunlight the colour of the shots kept changing. Soafter discovering the feature we re-shot it anworked well.

GaragebandFor most of us, it was the first time we have usedGarageband thus we were slightly unsure about howwe would use the software to create a soundtrack tobe played throughout our project.We found it difficult to know what music workedbest to suit the sound we wanted and also becausewe didn’t have a music keyboard we had to discoverhow to use our usual keyboard by switching thesettings using the ‘Task Bar’ at the top of the screen.
    4. 4. iTunesiTunes was played a brief part in our project. Ittransferred the music from garageband intoiTunes in which made it easier to insert into ourproject.On iMovie after clicking onto ‘Media’ andclicking Audio, iTunes automatically is shown soall we had to do is to scroll down clicking ontoour soundtrack and dragging into timeline. Wefound this easy to use.
    5. 5. iMovieiMovie was the largest, most helpful use oftechnology in which we used. We had to use thenewer version of iMovie however to upload ourfootage before transferring to iMovie HD as ourcameras were not recognised using this software.We found it easy to use as we used this in ourprevious project so understood the featureswhich also played a large part in our trailer suchas special effects.Only problem we experienced was that ourproject crashed during one lesson in which ourlessons work was unsaved.However, weovercome this using a different computer.
    6. 6. LivetypeLiveType was also a essential software neededespecially for our trailer. We used this especiallyfor the trailer’s titles, using effects in which wethought seemed appropiate. We knew how to usethis as in our previous project in AS Titles wereof huge importance thus this helped us andquickened the process.Problems we found with this was finding theright effect as sometimes the effect worked wellwith certain text but not others. Also, the text weused was copied from Photoshop which we foundhard to copy onto.
    7. 7. PhotoshopPhotoshop was used for the text for our titles andfor making our poster/magazine cover. Cindythoroughly uses Photoshop for her Graphics thusthis was easier with her knowledge. We learnthow layers play a large part within our pieces andthe opacity feature also came into great useparticularly in our poster when placing a stillwithin the eye to make it appear as flatten aspossible.
    8. 8. YoutubeYoutube was used to upload our clips ontoYoutube after Cindy making an accountespecially for our pieces. These were then usedand uploaded onto social sites such as facebookto gain audience response. Moreover, by doingthis it was easier to place onto our blog to accessthis at home adding to ideas and comparing toour influences.
    9. 9. BloggerBlogger is a site online in which we use for ourcoursework. This can be easily updated recordingour process of creating our 3 final pieces. Welearnt that all different types of media can berecorded on here to make it look as interesting aspossible which motivated us into using thesedifferent types of software. Here we would allpost onto showing our clear journey of theproject which can help us return to in lessons ifideas had be posted onto so we as a group caneasily witness.
    10. 10. Sound cloudSound cloud was another piece of technologythat we briefly used. We wanted to post ourmusic onto our blog so we could hear it in casewe wished to improve it. Using Sound cloud wasonly used so it was available to access online forour whole group.We found this out from another group and washighly helpful for uploading to our blog so wecould access it. All we had to do is visit thewebsite and upload our sound before embeddingonto our blog.
