    • 13. Owns more book volumes (82 million) than the University of California system (34 mil) and the Ivy League (68.8 mil)
  • The CIC: Excellence Through Collaboration
    • CIC libraries partnered with Google to digitize 10 million book volumes,
    while establishing one of the largest digital archives in the world
    • CIC members saved more than $5.9 million and avoided more than $3.3 million through collaborative purchasing and licensing efforts in 2008-09.
    • 14. The CIC fiber network collaboration, OmniPoP, provides scholars essential ultra-fast connectivity to international research hubs
