SFC Castillo and CPT Viskul will lead a battalion-wide Air Assault assessment for 1-160 IN to develop an order of merit list for selecting Soldiers to attend Air Assault school. The assessment will include a 12-mile tactical foot march with a 35 lb ruck, upper body strength exercises, identification of hand and arm signals, and rope skills. Soldiers' scores on the assessment and APFT, along with availability, will determine their ranking on the order of merit list for future Air Assault school slots.

– Knot identification (square and overhand)
