Care Accreditation Child Development Homes Provider Authorization Letter1. In accordance with reference (a), all Navy Child DevelopmentHomes (CDH) programs shall encourage certified CDH providers toobtain national accreditation through the National Associationfor Family Child Care (NAFCC). Navy Child and Youth Programs(CYP) goal is to have 20 percent of all certified Navy CDHproviders at each installation/metro program accredited throughNAFCC.2. Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) (N911), hasestablished a contract with NAFCC to centrally fund the cost ofNAFCC accreditation for any certified Navy provider. All CYPProfessionals responsible for CDH program management oradministration are to become familiar with the accreditationstandards, tools, and processes. Further details regarding theaccreditation process can be found at www.NAFCC.net.3. In order to facilitate this process,. each Region willappoint one point of contact responsible.for submitting monthlyreports to CNIC (N911). These processes are necessary forreconciling invoices with NAFCC. Enclosures (1) through (3)provide.the procedures.forprograms to follow to ensure paymentby CNIC (N911) to NAFCC on behalf of installation CDH providersand are effective 1 August 2011.
