  4. 4. Recovery has become Eminems most sold album (announced in 2011) The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 741,000 copies in its first week in the United States. This made Eminem the first artist in “Soundscan” history to have four albums debut with sales of over 700,000. It became Eminems sixth consecutive number-one album in the US and topped the chart for seven weeks. It also achieved international commercial success, charting at number one in several other countries, and produced three singles that achieved chart success, including the Billboard hit "No Love" and international hits "Not Afraid" and "Love the Way You Lie". Despite some criticism towards its consistency, Recovery received positive reviews from most music critics. As of November 7, 2010 (2010 -11-07),the album had sold over 2.9 million copies in the US.

He failed for the third year in a row and he got fed up and felt school to work on something he is more passionate it; rapping. He had been writing rap lyrics from the age of 4 and wanted to achieve his goal and dream to be a rapper. He started becoming more popular around the hood, considering his talent in creating and making up lyrics in his head very quickly. He was using the initials from his first and last names to form his rap name “M & M” which later became “Eminem” because of his race, he got rejected by people all the time, even though he was a really talented rapper. Determined to prove everyone wrong and not give up on his dream, he forced himself to go on radio shows and participate in freestyle battles. In the year 1995, Eminem recorded his first album named “Infinite”, which only sold about 1000 copies. That same year, his high school sweet heart, Kim, gave birth to his only child, a little girl named Hailie Jade Scott.Marshall Bruce Mathers III was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on October 17 1972 to hismother Debbie Briggs-Mathers and his father Marshall Bruce Mathers II. Debbie wasonly 15 when Marshall was born. Not long after Marshall was born, his father packedhis bags and left the family, never to be seen again. This wasn’t the end of a toughrun for Marshall and his family; it was only just the beginning. Marshall got movedaround to different houses and because of this he attended many schools. His momfinally settled down in a house in Detroit. Marshall was only 12 years old. Themaximum time he spent at the one school was 3 months.
