Job loves God because he is blessed 2. God buys Job’s devotion by blessing him

  25. 25. Very Bad day With each event, write down an encouragement and what good can come out of this event 5 minutes

Expressing your sorrow Vs 20 “At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head…” • Job was expressing intense sadness (he loved his children) • Expressing grief over the death of a loved one or being upset over the loss of possessions doesn’t mean we have no faith in God • Do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope(1 Thess 4: 13,14)
  27. 27. Worship God Vs 20 “THEN, he fell to the ground in worship” • vs 21 Confessing that everything belongs to the Lord (The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away). • Vs 21 Praising God (may the name of the Lord be praised)

Sacrifice of Praise • Ps 116: 17 sacrifice a thanks offering to you • Heb 13: 15 Continually offer to God a sacrifice of Praise • What is Sacrifice? = something you give up, usually for the sake of a better cause ?? = an act of slaughtering an animal or person or surrendering a possession as an offering to God ?
  29. 29. Why Sacrifice of Praise ? • Because He is God • Because He is awesome and deserves to be worshipped by us • Because He gave us life and He loves us • Because we are made to worship Him • Because it’s not just about us and our problems!
