3 Common Reasons Why Your New Year Resolutions Fail

  1. 1. 3 Common Reasons Why Your New Year Resolutions Fail
  2. 2. Every new year we promise ourselves something will change. And yet, every new year we find life just as it was before.
  3. 3. WHY? Don't we want to change for the better?
  4. 4. While will power is always among the most desired traits, it is simply not enough when you have...
  5. 5. 1. Unrealistic Goals When you lack specific rules, guidelines and limitations you get confused and lost. You have no plan and therefore don't know when and where to start from. You don't know what methods to use and who to call for help or advice.
  6. 6. The simple solution is to be more specific. Want to lose weight? Well, how much? 5, 10, 15 pounds? Want to become rich? In what sence? We have all heard money alone does not provide happyness. Want to be happy? Different people find joy in different things. Be specific!
  7. 7. 2. Too Many Goals When you know you have a ton of tasks to attend to you lose interest. The mind starts to think there is no way to finish all the tasks in time. You feel overwhelmed by the huge responsibility. In the end you can't even decide where to start from.
  8. 8. Every project deserves 100% of your attention. Better to have a few plans completed than to have non at all.
  9. 9. Wrong Reasons In our attempts to fit in and make those around us happy, we often forget about ourselves. Sometimes peer pressure and pressure from our parents can lead to serious trouble in the long run.
  10. 10. Get to know yourself better so you would know where you stand. “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson
