Where minor injuries areconcerned for example cramps, I will treat these by applying mineral ice, cold spray etcto the affected area. In case of absence: If a member of the First Aid Officer that was assigned to do aparticular task is absent, the other member will be assigned to that task for us to achieveour goals as a group. In case of rain: Rain occurs naturally and we need to be prepared for this occurrence. • 23. MY REFLECTIONSports day was a great experience for me. This experience exposed me to do various things that Icould not do. During the sports day I had many challenges with my group. I was a part of theFirst-aid-officer group. The group was working together but the challenges we had was to lift thepersons off the field when they got injured and because they were heavy it cause a problem to liftthem ourselves, therefore I had to seek assistance from some of the males. Another problem waswhen we were under the first aid tent and other people would come under the tent and theyweren’t suppose to be there, I would tell them to go away but they wouldn’t listen so I had to callthe chief. This also teaches me how to treat injured persons, and showed me how great it is towork in a group.Being a part of the First Aid group teaches me how to be very alert and responsible in taking oneach task. But on the other hand it can be rough attending to an injured athlete.
