  • 1. Our Home Planet Earth Earth is the third planet of the sun. It is the fifth largest planet of the nine planets of the sun including Pluto which now is not a planet. Our planet is also referred as the World, the blue planet or in Latin Terra. Earth is only planet in the Universe that there is life in it. Also Earth is found in the Milky Way.

  • 4. The Sun
    • The sun is a star, which is in the middle of the Solar System. The sun is what makes the Solar System warm. The sun has eight different planets which are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. And there are Dwarf planets like Pluto, Ceres and Eris.

  • 8. The Moon
    • The moon is the Earth’s only natural satellite. The moon gives us enough light at the night time but the sun is more hot and gives us more light. The moon is much smaller than our home planet Earth and the first man that landed on the moon was Neil Armstrong.

  • 12. The Solar Eclipse
    • During a Solar Eclipse the moon covers the sun. On Earth you can see an Eclipse. The picture of the Eclipse was in the year 1999.

    • The planets are named after the Greek Gods. Planets are like our home planet Earth but there is no life on either of them except Earth.
