    • In Nome, Alaska kids are very sick because of the cold weather temperatures.
    • The teams of dogs had to bring medicine to the children. The serum is the cure for the children.
    • One dog team is getting sick from the cold weather and from swimming through the icy water.
  • 6. Solution
    • The dog team brought the serum to Nome, Alaska.
    • Balto was the strongest dog on the team. The others were weak and they lost the scent.
  • 7. Favorite parts
    • Daniel S. :I liked when the dogs swam in the icy water.
    • Jason: My favorite part is when the dog team pulls the sled over the icy land.
  • 8. Worst Part
    • When the people died, three were kids and one was an adult. We were sad because we’re kids and we don’t want to die.
