  • 1. Open Innovation: it’s (not) complicated! Christian De Neef Fast Track Consulting – Brussels
  • 2. Innovate all by yourself? Nearly every successful business started with an individual with an innovative, original idea - look at Amazon, Apple, Dell, Microsoft, Starbucks, Zappos, …
  • 3. Where do we get our ideas? Innovative ideas come to us (me) while we shower - a moment with ourselves…
  • 4. Where do we get our ideas? Maybe that shower is a walk on the beach, climbing a mountain, or reading the text on the cereal packaging for the 335th time!
  • 5. Unfortunately, Innovative ideas alone don’t make for successful entrepreneurship…
  • 6. It’s not (only) the idea that makes the difference (remember, we’re 7 billion out there) It’s (mostly) execution!
  • 7. These days, no one goes alone (not the small guys, not even the largest corporations) Everyone collaborates!
  • 8. Are we doing things right? Are we doing the right things? Launch Ideation Design Develop ment Coproduction Crowdsourcing Cocreation Prototyping User panels Social Media Are we getting things done? Are we reaping the benefits? Open Innovation lifecycle
  • 9. There are many opportunities for collaboration along the innovation lifecycle… You’re not single/on your own You’re not in a (stable) relationship But it’s NOT complicated!
