Changing the Microsoft Office 2007 default  file type In the previous presentation we learned to save Microsoft Office 2007 files in the .doc format, rather than the default .docx. In this presentation we will see how to make .doc the default format for all documents created in MS Office 2007.

Changing the Microsoft Office 2007 default  file type Restart Word and from now on the default save format will be .doc The procedure is essentially the same for Excel and Powerpoint so that you can change the .xlsx to .xls and .pptx to ppt.
