Matthew 8:1-3 <ul><li>1 When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. </li></ul><ul><li>2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. </li></ul><ul><li>3 And Jesus put forth his hand , and touched him , saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. </li></ul>
  • 3. <ul><li>His Touch Is An Intimate Touch </li></ul><ul><li>His Touch Is A Powerful Touch </li></ul><ul><li>His Touch Is A Transforming Touch </li></ul>
  • 4. IT TRANSFORMS THE DISEASED <ul><li>MATTHEW 8:14-15 </li></ul><ul><li>14 And when Jesus was come into Peter&apos;s house, he saw his wife&apos;s mother laid, and sick of a fever. </li></ul><ul><li>15 And he touched her hand , and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them. </li></ul>

IT TRANSFORMS THE DEAF <ul><li>Mark 7:32-35 </li></ul><ul><li>32 And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him. </li></ul><ul><li>33 And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears , and he spit, and touched his tongue ; </li></ul>
  • 6. <ul><li>34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened. </li></ul><ul><li>35 And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain. </li></ul>

IT TRANSFORMS THE DARKENED <ul><li>Matthew 9:27-30 </li></ul><ul><li>27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. </li></ul><ul><li>28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. </li></ul>

  • 9. IT TRANSFORMS THE DOOMED <ul><li>Mat 8:3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him , saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. </li></ul>
  • 10. I T TRANSFORMS THE DEAD <ul><li>LUKE 8:49-56 </li></ul><ul><li>49 While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue&apos;s house , saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master. </li></ul><ul><li>50 But when Jesus heard it , he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. </li></ul>
  • 11. <ul><li>51 And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden. </li></ul><ul><li>52 And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth. </li></ul><ul><li>53 And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. </li></ul>

IT TRANSFORMS THE Sinner <ul><li>ISAIAH 6:5-7 </li></ul><ul><li>5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. </li></ul><ul><li>6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: </li></ul><ul><li>7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips ; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. </li></ul>
  • 14. IT will set us free <ul><li>Act 16:25-26 </li></ul><ul><li>25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. </li></ul><ul><li>26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken : and immediately all the doors were opened , and every one&apos;s bands were loosed. </li></ul>
  • 15. The battle is the Lord’s <ul><li>SAMUEL 7:5-10 </li></ul><ul><li>5 And Samuel said, Gather all Israel to Mizpeh, and I will pray for you unto the LORD. </li></ul><ul><li>6 And they gathered together to Mizpeh, and drew water, and poured it out before the LORD, and fasted on that day, and said there, We have sinned against the LORD. And Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpeh. </li></ul><ul><li>7 And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it , they were afraid of the Philistines. </li></ul>
  • 16. <ul><li>8 And the children of Israel said to Samuel, Cease not to cry unto the LORD our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines. </li></ul><ul><li>9 And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it for a burnt offering wholly unto the LORD: and Samuel cried unto the LORD for Israel; and the LORD heard him. </li></ul>
  • 17. <ul><li>10 And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them ; and they were smitten before Israel. </li></ul>
  • 18. Isaiah 59:1-3 <ul><li>1 Behold, the LORD&apos;S hand is not shortened , that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: </li></ul><ul><li>2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God , and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. </li></ul><ul><li>3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. </li></ul>
