  2. 2. • Man enticed by siren • Different way of viewing monster through characters P.O.V • Using Greek mythology as inspiration • In the mythology siren’s sang to passing sailors, they where captivated by their beautiful voices that the men steered their ship towards the rocks where they drowned and died. • The most famous account of the siren’s is the story of Odysseus who tied himself to the mast of the ship to resist the siren's singing. • We are putting a modern day twist on the tale.   3. 3. • Undiscovered band • Original song • We have the band’s support, so they are able to perform in the video RETROGRADE
  4. 4. • Having band which will look realistic on the camera • Be easier to film as they will actually play the song while filming • Having actors who we know are reliable • Strong realistic acting • Having actual instruments • On location performance will integrate well with the narrative PERFORMANCE
  5. 5. • Casual outdoor wear • For the “siren” long dress + long hair • Audio of an actual siren/claxon • Musical instruments COSTUMES AND PROPS
  6. 6. • We will be using the noise from a siren to symbolise the different meanings of the word, utilising the implication of an emergency that comes with this. • Obscured threat builds fear SYMBOLS AND MOTIFS
