1. • Here is my base picture with the models head a layer
behind the masthead.
• This occurred when I changed the size of the masthead
to a larger size so that it would be more eye-catching ,
therefore I had to make sure that the models heads were
in front of the masthead.

2. • In this shot I opened the original image so that I could crop
pieces from this and then import them onto my cover.
• The part that is circled shows where I have used the lasso tool
to draw around the section that I wanted so that I could place
it onto my cover.
• I chose this piece as I needed the models heads to be in front
of the masthead.

3. • I then copied the selected
segment ready to be copied
onto the cover.
• I selected paste
and then the
section was ready
to be moved and
adjusted so that it
would blend in
and look invisible
against the model.

4. • Within the red circle the adjustment is shown.
• I moved the section I lassoed around to fit so that it would look as though
it was his head and to ensure that it was in the perfect position
• To do this I went to the drop down menu and selected the transform tool
and then scale
• I then did the exact same technique with the other model on the right
hand side.

5. • In the red circle the
piece that’s been
pasted onto the
cover edit, appears
quite large.

• I adjusted the scale of the
copied piece of hair, likewise
with the first model.
