  • Overview and History
    • The diversity of these type of devices is very broad but the meaning is far from being vague.
    • In general, an input device is a mechanism which allow human interference or control over a computer and it’s system.
    • Input devices are not to be confused with output devices because they only serve to transfer in formations into a computer and not out.
    • There are no definite history for all of the input devices because each possess its own story.
    • Input devices can range from a mouse to a web cam.
  • How It Works An input devices simply work by transferring information or commands into a computer. The actual processing and storing of the information is done within the computer.

    • An input device simply process outside physical circumstances such as sounds, movement and pictures into the binary codes which the computer can store or process.

    • Input devices can either be attach to a PC by wire or wirelessly with devices such as a USB receiver.

    • Now a day, mechanical devices tend to have their own input devices build into.
    • These new features or versions of input devices include point of sale, touch pad (apple), smart card, and touch screen.
