    1. Chitrakote waterfalls lie in the midst of Kanger Valley National Park (Bastar district). This horse-shoe shaped fall is 40 km from Jagdalpur and 300 Km from Raipur the closest Airport.The village is accessible by good roads. It is the biggest in the country. Situated at the mid-point of the Indravati river, the drop of the Chitrakote waterfalls is about 100 ft, with the water flow reaching a staggering volume of over 1,845 cu metres per second during the monsoons. It constanty has a rainbow hovering over it. The falls are illuminated at night as well.
