  • Introduction Of The Speaker
    • Dr George Heged u s - graduated in Semmelweis University Budapest
    • Specialised in urologist-surgery
    • Special interest also in nutrition and its relation to cancer development
    • Medical doctor and captain at the Central Military Hospital
    • Responsible for the quality and IT control of the urological department
  • Introduction Of The Speaker
    • Scientific research fields:
      • Antioxidants and cancer prevention
      • Surgery of prostate tumours
      • Causes of erectyle disfunction related to arterial circular disturbances
      • Erectyle disfunction as an early sign of coronary diseases, myocardial infarction

  • Introduction Of The Speaker
    • Starts private practice paralel to hospital employment
    • Private practi c e in healthy nutrition recommendation to prevent serious diseases and preserve health
    • Founder of the patented CHILOPASS TM program
    • Target of activity is to find and eliminate the REAL cause of disorders

  • Content Of The Lecture
    • Concept
    • Why EIS?
    • EIS application in several fields of clinical practi c e
      • Food allergy (gluten-, casein intolerance)
      • Weight loss program
      • Comparison of the EIS examinations of Hungarian and Arab people
      • Monitoring of tumor therapy
      • Sport nutrition
    • Conclusion
  • Motivated By Ambition
    • Ambition for providing a real health-care rather than „sick-care”
    • Not satisfied with available facilities
    • In the frame of conventional „health-care” there is not much possibility to search for the CAUSE of the diseases - symptom-exams-diagnosis-pathology-specific treatment- real healing?
  • Difficulties of A Private Practitioner
    • Source of pts are assured in governmental – reimbursed - health care (employment)
    • Being a private practitioner you have to be competitive, fighting for the pts.
    • Best promotion is the SATISFIED PATIENT
  • Concept
    • Health problems can be originated from the unbalanced physiological pillars of health
    • Health problems can be healed by balancing the physiological pillars of health
  • Secret Is The Concept Simplicity
  • 5 (physiological) Pillars Of Health Balance = Health (normal function of the body) Optimal O 2 supply Relaxation, Stressfree life , Positive thinking Regular physical excercise Adequate Nutrition intake Sufficient liquid intake HEALTH

  • Science Serves Practice 1. Gluten intolerance
  • Food allergy and lab test
    • Allergy smptoms 0-100%
    • 0% – no symptom
    • … ..% - sneezing, caughing
    • 100% - asthma
    • Lab test can show only the serious cases
    • We meet patient with symptoms, but without diagnosis and negative labtest
    • By food allergy it is same: can be symptoms with negative lab test and positive EIS measuring
    • EIS measuring is not wrong, just more sensitive, but still we need the clinical background

      • Colonoscopy, medicaments
      • Said as life-long disease – must accept
      • Arrythma, allergy
    • 2007 May 18, CHILOPASS program
      • Found gluten intolerance by E SG
      • Recommended gluten-free diet
      • after 2 day symptom s free!
      • Can sleep normally
      • All complaints are gone
      • Liver function not yet regenerated totally
      • After 3 month – NO allergy and arrythmia

  • Gluten Intolerance
    • Assessed by EIS and manifesting problems treated by gluten-free diet:
      • IBS – 130 patients - 95% improvement
      • Reflux – 83 patients - 10% improvement, 90% stopping medication!
      • Colitis ulcerosa – 1 patient – stopping medication
      • Rhinitis allergica – 20 patients – 50% improvement, 14% stopping medication
      • Hypertension – 5 patients – reducing medication
      • Chronic vaginitis / prostatitis – 4 patients – decreased symptoms, no recidiv
      • Diabetes mellitus – 1 patient – reduced need for insulin, 15 patients – reduced medication – weight loss!
    • Results in 2-30 days
  • Gluten Intolerance
    • Self statistics 249 patients / 1556 - 16% (Arabic patients – 10,2%)
    • 28 patients – follow up in 1 month
    • Findings after applying gluten-free diet decreased
      • Alkalosis
      • Stress hormon e level
      • Insulin-, glucose-, triglyceride level in the tissues
      • Weight loss – part of it was due to reduced refined carbohydrate- and overall lowered carbohydrate intake
    • All patients exercised more and consumed more vegetables ( fiber intake ) and liquids.

  • Conclusion About Consequence Of Gluten Intolerance
    • Gluten-free diet
    • Decreased
      • alkalosis ,
      • H 2 O 2 and O 2 - level,
      • high insulin level
    • Connection between gluten and diabetes is proven.

      • High rate of gastrointestinal symptoms in celiac patients living on a gluten-free diet: controlled study.
    • EIS examination of diabetic patients is recommended. If the EIS examination shows gluten intolerance, the gluten-free diet can improve the insulin sensitivity.
    • In case of other diso r ders (IBS, Reflux) EIS examination is highly recommended . If the EIS examination shows gluten intolerance, gluten-free diet can help to achieve health improvement or even total symptom-free status – without medicaments .

  • Conclusion About Consequence Of Casein Intolerance
    • Casein free diet recommended – as a side-effect free approach
    • Decreasing acidosis
    • Low insulin level increases
    • Relation between casein intolerance and diabetes is already scientifically proven

      • Cow's milk allergy.
    • Diabetic patients EIS ex a mination is recommended as once casein intolerance suggested by EIS, casein-free diet can improve insulin secretion
    • In other diseases eg. Reflux, EIS exam is recommended as once casein intolerance suggested, casein-free diet can highly improve health status or even total asymptomatic status can be achieved without medication

  • Interpretation Of Findings
    • Hungarians are more „alkalic”
      • Any correlation with gluten intolerance ??
      • - (16% / 10,2%)
      • Any correlation with casein intolerance ??
        • - (30,59% / 19,15%)
      • Need for further analysis
    • Arabs are more overweighted
      • Co r relation with the official statistics: Hungarians 60%, Arabs 81%
      • Life-style – sweets, pita bread (refined CH), high No. o f diabetics
      • Lower physical exercises, „fitness” is not yet in the culture
    • Results should be further anal yz ed concerning diseases

      • Help to feel himself good
      • Help to moderate the side effect of the ch emotherapy with the right life style
      • Encourage to maintain the chemotherapy
  • Conclusions Of Tumor Monitoring
    • - Monitoring medical therapy of tumor
    • Monitoring lifestyle change therapy of patient
    • Offers:
    • Additional information to the oncologist (if partner), eg. i f besides chemoth. EIS scan shows deepening acidosis – the oncologist could indicate further exams – out of original schedule
    • Following active chemoth erapy cycle there is conventional 3-6-12 moths interval follow-up (lab test , CT, US).
    • EIS provides possibility for more frequent monitoring – even monthly , quick, low cost, non-invasive without side-effect, monitoring possibility in the middle-intervals also

    • New Area
    • EIS monitoring of well-trained and over-trained level
    • Monitoring the – rather improper – nutritional habits of sportsmen
  • Thinking Scientifically
    • On the field of nutrition it is advisable to rely on scientific studies.
    • Always re-evaluate own results. Sharing own experience with peers will support with feedback to improve self practice
  • Important Message
    • Never act against or criti c i s e the patient’s original specialist or GP
    • Never suggest different medication
    • Do not make an enemy
    • Lifestyle changes, the right nutrition will have their positive effect
    • Original specialist – hopefully – will alter or withdraw medication by him/her self
