Why Have a Field Trip? Provides a fun learning opportunity for your class. Offers your students something “special” to invite friends to. Gives you the chance to include parents in a learning activity for your class. Provides a “hands-on” learning activity to reinforce learning objectives of your class. Other reasons why?

The Spot Pick a spot that will be closer than an hour away. Make sure the location has been kid-tested. Keep the cost down. How much time does it take to see the sight or participate in the activity?

Transportation The best transportation is parents themselves. Church van or bus....available for you! Chartering a school bus is also an option (for a LARGE group)

Steps to Using & Reserving the Church Van You must reserve the van EARLY! “ Vehicle Requisition” – either online or from church office. Putting gas in is your responsibility. Fueling instructions are available upon request from the church office. Picking up the keys is your responsibility. Vehicle must be left in better shape than when you picked it up.
