Pakistan is a primarily Muslim country located near India. It is a country that is very poor but has a deep hunger for the word of God. ''Attack Christians Community in Karachi Pakistan''

The Six people are wounded by gunshots, including an 11-year-old boy, now dead. Residents in the area that was attacked have locked themselves in. the attack comes after pro-Taliban slogans, calling on Christians to convert to Islam, appear on church walls. Karachi April 23, 2009 armed men yesterday attacked a group of Christians in Taiser Town, near Karachi. They set ablaze six Christian houses and injured three Christians, including an 11-year-old

Taiser Town, which is home to about 750 Christian Families including 300 Catholic families, is part of the Parish of St Jude in the Archdiocese of Karachi. Two police officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that Qudoos Masih, one of the people injured in the incident, filed an initial report at the Sarjani Town police against unknown persons. The police confirmed that seven suspects were arrested with heavy weapons on them. Police is still conducting its investigation and does not know who is behind the violence. A policeman said that only three Christians were injured, including a minor who died due to the gunshot by the 'Taliban' numbering about forty all armed with fire arms.

They have been asking for 'Jazia' an Islam tax laved on non Muslims living in an Islamic country. They had previously wall chalked some of the Church buildings with 'Taliban' slogans due to which the Christian community was fearful and protesting. People are still very scared and dare not go out, especially after police advised them to stay in-doors. Most of these people are living about or under the officially declared poverty line and do not afford to go with out working for every single day. On the other hand the official spokesman for the 'Swat Taliban', Haji Muslim Kan has said that they must host Usama Bin Ladan as he is a Muslim and it must be done. All this has been reported on the electronic and print media of Pakistan.

After the incidence many Christian leaders and Government officials visited the area where the attack took place. There, they saw graffiti on the walls of the area’s two churches, saying ’Taliban zindabad’ (Live long Taliban), ’Islam zindabad’ (Live long Islam), ’Christians Islam qabol karo’ (Christians, convert to Islam). They also visited the torched Christian houses and saw that everything was burnt, including the residents’ Bibles, and the houses of the people where house hold itoms of the residents had been damaged.

Taliban militants went door to door, breaking into Christian homes and dragging the elderly and the women out into the street by their hair. 'The Taliban leaders shouted, ’You infidels have to convert to Islam or die. Why did you wash up warnings inscribed on walls of church and Home doors? How dare you to take out procession against Taliban?’' The terrorists used clubs, iron rods and whips in their attacks, and set homes on fire.

When two Christians resisted, the militants killed them execution-style directly in front of their families. The identity of those killed has not yet been confirmed,' 'The Pakistani government has created an opening for terrorists to attack Christians indiscriminately by acceding to their demands in the Swat Valley,' 'Formerly, Christians in the major cities of Pakistan experienced discrimination, but up till now they had not had to fear threats of forced conversion or execution on a wide scale. This attack is a harbinger of worse to come if the Pakistani government continues to cower in the face of Muslim radicals.

The Christians had been protesting because on Monday residents of Taseer Town in Karachi awakened to find pro-Taliban messages chalked onto the walls of two churches. The message included, 'Long Live the Taliban 'Talibanization is our goal' and 'Embrace Islam or Prepare to Die.' The Christians staged a protest to try to attract the attention of local government officials, but they did not respond, leaving the door open to the physical attack and executions. Taliban members also burned shops and churches, leaving dozens more injured. 'More than 100 masked Taliban intruded in Taseer Colony and attacked Christians with heavy machine guns, you infidels have to convert to Islam or die and you dare to take out procession against Taliban?

  1. 12 Keys to Transforming Your Children’s Ministry
  2. Romans 12:1-2 (NIV)
    • “ Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
  3. Romans 12:1-2 (NLT)
    • “ Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way your think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.”
  4. Key #1
    • Begin with Prayer
  5. Charles Spurgeon

  6. Stanley Grenz
    • “ Moral revival in a nation begins with the willingness of God’s people to seek the face of God in prayer. God is the author of renewal, but in this task God wills the cooperation of human instruments, especially in prayer.”
