  • 3. Patterns
    • A  pattern is a type of theme of recurring events or objects, sometimes referred to as elements of a  set  of objects.
    • The most basic patterns, called  Tessellations , are based on  repetition  and  periodicity . 
  • 4. Patterns in Sound
    • Created by repeating parts of the music many times.
    • This repetition, such as the chorus in a song, makes a piece easier to remember.
    • Eg, “Chan Mali Chan Hoi Hoi”
