A brief slideshow about Chicken Sarap - a little restaurant and food servicing group focused on the most aromatic and delicious charcoal-grilled chicken barbecue, using traditional ingredients and marination techniques from Bacolod, Negros Occidental, Philippines
2. Chicken Sarap was established by our food- loving family, which hails from Silay City, Negros Occidental. Silay City is known as the hometown of many old families and of equally-old family traditions. A driving force behind Chicken Sarap was the desire to share with everyone the distinct aroma and unbelievably good taste of charcoal-grilled chicken that is authentic and true to traditional spices and Negrense preparation techniques.
3. Among the many recipes the province of Negros Occidental is known for, we chose to focus on the one recipe we know will be loved by all. Everybody loves chicken, and Chicken Sarap’s authentic recipe for charcoal-grilled chicken is an experience we’d like to think is special. From the marinade, to the basting sauce, to the toasted garlic, baby shrimps or chicken oil drizzled on top of your plateful of white or yellow rice; a meal with us usually leaves the diner happy and content.
4. Chicken Sarap is also about bringing people together. Be it family, friends, or office colleagues; there is always good reason to spend time together after work to hang-out, or over the weekend for a party or picnic. We designed the Chicken Sarap model to be as mobile as possible, so that wherever you are, we can bring the Chicken Sarap experience to you. We call it “On-site grilling.“
