  4. 4. Important Holidays 1Lunar New Year‟s Day Koreans celebrates the (Seol-nal) Lunar New Year. Seol is, along with “Chusok”, one of the two most important holidays in Korea. The New Year‟s greeting is „say hay boke-mahn he pah du say yo‟ It literally means „Please receive many New Years blessings.‟
  5. 5. Important Holidays 2 Korean Thanks Giving Day (Chu-seok) Chuseok is on the 15th day of the August of the lunar calendar. People visit their hometowns and share traditional food. One of the major foods during the Chuseok is „Songpyeon‟.
