Guy Fawkes Night Bonfire Night On the 5 th of November we celebrate the day that Guy Fawkes was captured for treason. He tried to blow up the houses of parliament. We celebrate this by building a bonfire and making a man (called a Guy) to put on the top. We say a rhyme that goes: Remember, remember the fifth of November. Gunpowder treason and plot.
