Cleopatra
Cleopatra’s father was Ptolemy XII Amulets
Cleopatra was one of the greatest pharaohs of all time.
She was fluent in seven languages.
Some say she was not Egyptian.
She was officially the last pharaoh of Egypt.

Family Life
Cleopatra had three sisters and two brothers. She had married both of her brothers at different times. One reason was due to the fact that her father died and she had to take on the throne.
Her mother was also named Cleopatra.

Ruling The Throne
Once Cleopatra’s father died she had to follow the Egyptian tradition.
She married her brother and they ruled upper and lower Egypt.
Soon after Cleopatra’s siblings died she could rule Egypt her way.

She was a compassionate ruler and made Egypt’s economy much better.
She also made Egypt one of the richest countries with her politics.
Cleopatra cared for her people dearly. She even helped the poor when they had nothing to eat.
Her people named her the new Isis.

Relationships
When Cleopatra heard her father died she wanted to talk to Caesar.
When they met she showed off her intelligence and beauty. Caesar was very impressed. Soon they fell in love and gave birth to his son Caesarion.
When Caesar went back to Rome he was killed by roman soldiers who betrayed him due to that fact they did not like Egyptians.

Cleopatra & Antony
When Caesar died, Antony Caesar’s successor wanted to ask Cleopatra questions about his death.
Antony was also impressed by her beauty and intelligence that they fell in love and produced twins.
Later on Antony went back to Rome and married Octavian’s sister. Cleopatra was deserted by Antony.

Octavian’s Plan
Antony then gave Roman provinces to his children by Cleopatra. Octavian then declared war.
Octavian had a plan to send a letter to Antony that stated Cleopatra had died.
Antony was very sad and full of guilt that he committed suicide.

Her Death
Once Cleopatra’s army was defeated in battle, Cleopatra chose to be killed by a snake then the humiliation of her enemies.
She then asked her royal servants to bring the snake in her room to kill her and then her royal servants.
She died on August 12, 30 B.C.
