12. 12.

Charisma : a gift of grace. Freely given by God to believers. These gifts shape our personalities, make us what we are, and cause us to do what we do. We possess the gift – it is ours .

 13. 13. “ For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.” Romans 12:4-5 Teacher Prophet Exhorter Ruler Mercy Giver Minister
 14. 14.

1 Peter 4:11 (NKJV)

“ If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

 15. 15. Motivational Gifts in Context

It is important to look at any verse of Scripture in the right context

Let us look at the five verses in Romans that precede the list of motivational gifts

 16. 16.

Romans 12:1-5

Verse 1 – Paul, writing to the Christians in Rome, states that all believers are to present themselves to God as living sacrifices

Verse 2 – we learn that we need to have our minds renewed

 17. 17.

Verse 3 – we learn two things:

first, that we are to have a right attitude about ourselves— gratefulness and humility rather than conceit , and an objective sense of value rather than self-abasement

 18. 18.

second, that each of us has been given a measure of faith that will allow us to operate effectively in our motivational gift

Verses 4 & 5 – we learn that we need to discern the various gifts in the Body of Christ and work together in mutual interdependence

 19. 19.

In this context, we can see the importance of using our motivational gifts for the glory of God. This is the only way that we will find fulfillment for our lives

These gifts are the motivating forces of our lives, and unless channeled properly we cannot help but feel frustrated. But once we discover them, we discover a tremendous potential for joy and happiness

 20. 20.

There is one more list of gifts in the Bible. It is not a new list, but rather a composite of the three already mentioned. It is found in I Corinthians 12:28-30

This passage of Scripture is immediately followed by the famous “ love chapter ,” I Corinthians 13

 21. 21. MOTIVATIONAL MINISTRY MANIFESTATION Ministry Apostles Miracles Ruler Prophets Healings Teachers Tongues Interpretation
 22. 22.

Paul is making an important point, that whether or not you are operating in the motivational gifts , the ministry gifts , or the manifestation gifts , if you don’t do it in love – God’s agape love – you are doing nothing!

An admonition we should always remember
