  • 2. In what ways does your media products, develop or challengeforms and conventions of real media products? For our chosen genre, we decided to look at similar music videos forhelp on the typical codes and conventions of a boy band video. For our video, we incorporated a dance routine that Is visible in nearlyevery boy band video we researched. We also noticed that the majority of the boy band videos we watched were“cheesy”. With this we came up with the idea to use powers as a use for thestory line. This worked well as trying to impress a girl with powers is as“cheesy” as it can get.
  • 3. How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts? The combination of the product and the ancillary texts are use of the main music video, digipack and poster. We used elements of our music video to help add ideas we can out on our digipack and poster. The use of the DIGIPACKcolor of theelements:Water, Fire andEarth. The use of clothingThe position of the to show the linkband members is between the videothe same and digipack.
  • 4. POSTERThe idea of theposter itself is This helps promote ourtaken from the band as the name anddigipack. This band members are clear.linking all 3items together. Again we used the position of the band members that were in the music video.
  • 5. What have you learned from your audiencefeedback? For our audience feedback, we took most help from the class feedback wegathered. Due to a member of the group, we were unable to take many of thesechanges into action. We needed more close ups for the dance scene, but beingunable to meet up meant we could not get this done. For other forms of feedback, we used Facebook as a source for this. We gainedmany views for from this, but not many people gave feedback. The onlycomments made, were to say that they enjoyed it.
  • 6. How did you use new media technologies in theconstruction and research, planning and evaluationstages? For new media technology, we used the known main equipment when filming. This included the camera for filming, using Youtube and Itunes for musicresearch. We also used sites such as blogger to help keep our foundinformation filed. When we out filming, we used our phones and Ipods to help us know when tosing and not to sing when filming certain scenes. This helped us a lot, as itkept us in sync when editing our music video.
