  • 3. Masthead is slightly covered by the model on the front suggesting the magazine is well known. Justified cover line. Text box slightly covers the cover line which suggests the editors want the readers to see it and it is also is in a different colour which draws your attention to it. The model on the cover takes up most of the front cover and they are no other pictures which suggests she has something to do with the main article. The model is looking over her shoulder and the picture is a medium close up shot. All of the tag lines are located at the side of the magazine in a small column which draws the readers attention to the main tag line. The barcode means that the magazine is available to buy in stores The quote draws readers in as when potential customers read it they’ll want to buy the magazine to read the article the quote links to. The name of the model on the front cover. Her name in in a larger font then the rest of the writing on the front cover suggesting she is part of the main article.Tag line continues from the name of the artist however it is in a small font suggesting its not as important as her name.

This is an attempt to draw potential customers in as they want to read about the artist. Text box tells the reader a bit about what is inside the magazine. The magazine tends to use the same colour scheme for the front cover. They use bright and bold colours. The readers attention is drawn to this tag line as many people want to look like a celebrity The barcode means that the magazine is available to buy in stores The readers attention is drawn to the word embarrassing as it is highlighted and in a different font and colour. This tag line will make readers want to buy the magazine as it claims to have an answer to peoples worries. Small bar in a different colour includes barcode, price and date The model on the cover is the main background image and two of the main taglines on the cover are about her which suggests the main feature article is about her. The tag line is in bright and bold colours and the readers attention is drawn to the word summer as it is in a different font and colour to the rest of the tag Another bar which is advertising a quiz you can take part in if you but the magazine.
  • 5. The magazine uses the same colour pallet throughout the magazine cover. They tend to use black blue and white. The colour of the text also blends well with the imagine on the front cover and the background colour. The masthead is covered by the image on the cover suggesting the magazine is already well known. The model on the front cover takes up the majority of the cover suggesting he is the main featured article or something to do with it. They are no other pictures on the front cover. The model is looking straight on at the camera. Smaller text located at the top of the cover which tells you a bit about what's in the magazine. The tag lines are in a large font and are all located at the side of the magazine. This suggests that the articles they are linked to are interesting but not as good as the main one The name of the model is in a larger font and in a different colour to the rest of the text on the magazine. The colour scheme is mainly pink and black which are considered quite girly colours and the artists outfit matches the colour scheme.   • 8. Image of the front cover this allows the reader to look at the tags on the front cover. Page numbers and the articles are all in the same font and the same colour and are located down the right hand side, separated by a red line (the red carries on the colour scheme). A review box allows readers to read Q’ opinion on new music videos and albums. There is a small bar going along the bottom of the page which has the magazine website, the page number and the date the magazine was issued. The issue number is located on a large red bar that looks like its continued from the pervious page and is also the only text in white this makes it stand out over everything else on the page. Small article pictures, all located down the centre of the page in a column. The colours used in the picture are all quite dark. The image takes up the majority of the left side of the page. Could be part of the main feature article. The image is on a white background and the models face is covered suggesting he is either well known or not important. Includes pictures of the person that the article is about. The colours continue the house style from the front cover (red and white). The readers attention is instantly drawn to the red lines which are located under each page number. This means that the first thing the readers read are the articles which are featured in the article.
  • 9. Lots of the features are about lifestyle as that’s how they sell magazines to their target audience. The colours used are very ‘girly’ they mainly consist of pink and yellow.
