It is open ICU Care Medicine Ahmedabad which Caters patients multiorgan failure, polytrauma, septic shock, cardiogenic shock ,ARDS ,post -op and poisning .I (Nov’05-till now) (400 Beded have independent admission rights. Responsibilities include Hospital) triage, workup, management and follow-up of critically ill patients. At present I take daily call. I am involved in management of directly admitted and referral patients .I prefer to stay along with unstable patients until they are stablised. At present my job is like 24*7 type of job. DNB Manipal Hospital, The two year training course recognised by National Board of (Fellowship)Critical Bangalore, India Examination New Delhi, involved working in 19 beded closed Care Medicine tertiary referral ICU, staffed by three full time intensivists. ( 675 beded (Aug’03-Oct’05 ) Admission for training was through common entrance test. Hospital) Responsibilities included triage, workup, management and follow-up of critically ill patients, including those with sepsis, shock, trauma, airway disease, drug overdose, poisning, surgical complications and obstetric complications. Degree is awarded through exit theory and practical examination at completion of the course. Senior Registrar – Apollo Hospital Main responsibility was to take care patients of shock Ahmedabad, India ,polytrauma, ventilated patients, post CABG, and poisning (April’03-Aug’03) patiets, along with admitting consultants . I also did Echocadiogram. Senior Resident – Escorts Heart  Served as resident running the heart command (ICCU) in Cardiology Institute and conjunction with visiting consultants Research Centre, (Aug ’01 –Aug ’02)  Cared for both cardiac patients and general intensive-care New Delhi, India patients. (600 beded Hospital)  Transfer of sick patients by airlift/road from various hospitals in well-equipped ambulances  Participating in Community Outreach Program in form of Camps to provide advanced cardiac care at the doorstep of patients Resident Medical B.R.D. Medical  Admitted inpatient and gave outpatient care primarily in Officer, Internal College and cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonary medicine, tropical Medicine Hospital, Gorakhpur, medicine and neurology at 350-bed tertiary-care center. India (April ’98 –May ‘01)  Covered CCU and inward by rotation.  Participated in teaching medical students and junior residents in Internal Medicine including bedside demonstration of procedures, clinical signs and resuscitation clinics.  Collaborated in research activities, seminar presentation and thesis work. When to call an intensivist: Earlier is better. When patient is in compensated stage and has not developed organ failure.
